It's worth noting you can usually get these free from student unions if you are a student *or get a family member to get you one from there!

When I got attacked the adrenaline in my body made ME scream my head off which I never thought i'd be able to do! That helped cause attention which scared him away.

I was issued with one of these from work a few years ago, and as someone who really hates loud noises I was more frightened of letting it off accidentally than I was of being attacked! :rotfl:
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • Your 'main' local Police Station should sell them for £2-£3 each. Normally crime reduction or neighbourhood watch departments that deal with it.
  • My dad bought me one many years ago, I think was he worried about me being out late.

Fortunately, I never had to use it but I did feel a bit safer just having it, when I was coming home late at night.

I do still have it, it still works and I have given it to my own daughter now.

Hopefully she will never need to use it either.
