Bought multiple items now won't reduce postage

i recently bought 7 items from a seller the postage was prohibitive, so I asked for a discount which they duly offered at £6.50 less so I therefore bid on the items.
I now have sent several requests for the total from the seller and have not had any reply!
Questions is I was happy to bid for the items because of the reduced postage. Without the reduced postage I would not have bid.
If they do not reduce the postage where do I stand? Seven items from one seller!
Do I have any redress from the fact they offered me reduced postage and have now seem to renage on the offer:eek:

Have you tried to pay to see if the combined postage has appeared? (I got no email from a seller when they altered the postage, yet when it just appeared on the payment options).
How much is the uncombined postage?
Don't forget that you could always leave 7 negatives as a worse case scenario!!
I'd just wait a few days and see what happens.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I have now had there reply (in offering the reduced postage) she now says that she was wrong and it has to be as stated now where do I stand!!!
I would not have bought the items unless the postage was reduced as she stated in her email!
I presume I have to pay! But what can I do re the fact I would not have bought them if she had not offered me a reduced postage?0 -
Nothing you can do, apart from your feedback ans DSR ratings.0

In that case, you'll just have to pay, then leave 7 negatives saying "buyer agreed to combined postage if I bought 7 items, then refused to combine".
I'm sure you might then agree to remove the feedback if they then refund some of the postage!!
Do NOT use negative feedback as a threat against them thought. do not even mention it at all.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

i would pay, then when items arrive and show massively over charged postage leave 1 negative feedback a week for the next 7 weeks as if you leave it all at once it will only count as 1 on their feedback, spread it one a week and it will work as 7 individuals
) Is to reply and ask if she intends to send them seperately! it sounds like shes trying to make money on the postage. out of interest how much did the 7 items value total?

Would still only count as one, as feedback is on the transaction date not the date that feedback is left.... so if original purchases were all within the same week it would be irrelevant when you left the feedback.
However it would mean that at least one of the negs is always on page 1.
Extract from Ebay 'help page' on feedback
How are Feedback Scores calculated?
For each transaction, buyers and sellers can choose to rate each other by leaving Feedback. Buyers can leave a positive, negative, or a neutral rating, plus a short comment. Sellers can leave a positive rating and a short comment.
These ratings are used to determine Feedback Scores. In most cases, members receive:-
+1 point for each positive rating

No points for each neutral rating - -1 point for each negative rating
If you buy multiple items from the same seller, you should leave Feedback for each sale. However, we’ll calculate the seller’s Feedback Score differently depending on whether the sales occurred in the same week. For Feedback purposes, we define a week as Monday to Sunday.0 -
+1 point for each positive rating

also pay for them all separately, that way they'll pay a little extra on their Paypal feesInstant Credit means Instant Debit!

I would ask her to send every item seperately as she has renaged on a vebal agreement, and as above I would pay for every item as a separate transaction......but then I'm not in a great mood tonight and sellers like this give us all a bad name!0

If you have the offer of reduced P&P in writing then I would approach eBay. They may not be able to force the seller to sell at the reduced amount, but they should be able to advise you whether you will avoid 7 x NPB strikes if you go ahead and pay the agreed amount (no way in hell would I personally pay the full). It's then up to the seller whether they send or not (and if they don't then you will be able to get a refund). They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Hi OP as others have said all you can do is pay then leave feedback and DSRs to suit the transaction.
I will say this though don't leave them one week apart as the seller can then claim that you are a malicious buyer and that you only bought the items to leave negative feedback also this may get flagged as feedback manipulation and if that is the case ebay will close your account as feedback manipulation is the worst thing you can do on ebay and 2 counts of manipulation will close your ebay accounts straight away.
As you know if you left the feedback one week apart this would damage the sellers account more than just leaving the feedback in one go I once had a buyer buy 4 things from me and they tried the same trick I think they were another seller selling the same items as me when they left the second negative a week after the first I phoned ebay both negatives got removed and the buyer was no longer a registered user when I checked their account.0
