Millets/Blacks Discount Codes Thread

Hi Jamesled,
Thanks for the info.
I want to buy a tent (Outwell Montana 6) which is £289 online, but £349 instore.
The online price, together with eevie's 10% code (assuming it works) and 8% Quidco make it a net £244.21. I can't decide whether to go for this today or hold on for a better deal later as the camping season comes to an end.
£244 is a good price at the moment, the next best is £270 although this does include £20 worth of free footprint groundsheet, so I suppose only really £6 dearer than Millets.
You say the "last phase of sale kicks in tomorrow" - is this just instore or online too ? Perhaps I should hold off and see if the Montana drops in price tomorrow.

If you came to me wanting an Outwell plus a canopy/footprint & carpet I would do you a great deal but we are at opposite ends of the country. I would still suggest going into Elgin and speaking to the Manager or even phone them up in the morning to check stock and see if the will offer anything. Looks as if some of the website prices have updated already but you can't negotiate with a website!!! Good luck & let me know how you get on.0

Hi Jamesled,
I held off from using ordering online at the weekend with Eevie's code in the hope that 'the last phase of the sale' that you mentioned would mean a price drop on Monday. Unfortunately the online price has remained at £289.99.
I received an e-mail from Millets today claiming up to 70% off selected lines but unfortunately the Outwell Montana 6 does not appear to be included.
I haven't managed to get to my local Millets store yet - do you know if the instore price has changed this week ? If not, then I doubt the store could better the online price (I only want to buy the tent + footprint groundsheet as I already have the carpet and canopy).
I guess I'll have to wait for a further reduction or discount code now.0 -
It might be worth trying ebay. There is one for sale now but its nearly new and the price is rising plus the carrier costs, seems to be alot of interest in it

If you are not totally desperate it might be worth waiting until a new one comes on ebay

I have been watching Ebay already, though just for new ones from Ebay shops.
I have read of occasional problems (mostly leaks) with some Montana's so really want to buy new, and from a proper retailler, so that should I receive a defective one I can get it sorted / exchanged more easily.
There is no real hurry to buy as it's for use next summer - I just thought that being the end of this year's camping season, and perhaps with manufacturer's bringing out 2008 tents soon, there may be decent deals to be had. Not yet though by the looks of things.0 -
