    I had absolutely no idea what it was all about to be honest... and couldn't have followed the same advice as I had no idea what one would have had to actually "do".

    The OP was basically asking, should I pay for something today at a known price or tomorrow when the price might be better?

    Quite easy really (says me, who thought that hubs only went on car wheels:) .

    You phone your bank business manager or the international department of your bank and say, "I'd like to take out an option on 20,000 Euros please." They offer you a rate and you say "yes please".
