  • We use half vinegar and half water. Using newspaper works well.

Hot water with a dash of vinegar or stardrops or fairy liquid will all work IME. The trick I've found is not in the washing but the buffing clear. Nothing beats newspaper for this as far as I'm concerned. HTH

I use a spray of water polished up with an e-cloth. They are expensive initially but the mirrors and windows come up sparklingly clean

I use a damp microfibre cloth with a bit of stardrops, and then buff dry with a dry m/f cloth. Works fine, always used to use the newspaper trick and that does work too but we dont buy newspapers and the free weekly one goes to line the kitchen scraps bin!

  • I use the wet and then dry microfibre cloths too - it works better than anything else I have ever tried. I just use plain hot water - no detergent of any kind and my glass and mirrors get lots of sticky greasy marks on them!!

I use hot water with a bit of Stardrops in, and then dry the mirror off with the bathroom towel (which is going in the wash anyway). It's definitely the drying that does the trick - if you dry it until there are no smears left, you shouldn't get any cloudiness appearing later on.
