Homemade Spring rolls

I have bought the filo pastry and lanb mince to make spring rolls :). i also bought one of those stir fry packs to make veg ones too

I am going to try this recipe for the lamb .

never made then before so any hints ? or any other recipes people want to share :D

    Just cut all the veggies up REALLY thinly, stirfry them and then drain (to minimise liquid in final result). Then leave to cool. Cut the filo pastry to the size that you require and then don't forget to fold the bottom and top in. "Seal" the roll with water on the pastry. They can then be frozen like this - or - fry them in hot oil until the pastry has gone brown. You can also spray them with frylite and bake in the oven, but this does result in very crispy rolls.
    Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

    March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
  • Thank you esmf73, i have never done them before. do yo add lots of spices ? was going to add some chilli's and soy sauce garlic and peanut oil .. just using the recipe as a guide and going to make it up as a i go along :)

    did not know i could seal them with water thought i was going to use melted butter thank you . water it is :)
