Yahoo Widgets

I searched and found references to Yahoo Widgets in other forums, but not here, so I thought I'd plonk the link in the freebie forum since they're all free, there's squillions of them to choose from, and they make your desktop look jazzy.

They are little application things that sit on your desktop - there is a widget for just about everything!
For example, I have one that tells me the weather forecast for the week (with snazzy graphics), one analogue clock, one word game and one that shows me the daily Dilbert cartoon strip!

It stays discreetly on the right hand side of your scree, you can make it transparent and change the colours!

Had a go with Klipfolio - it's certainly consise, but not quite as smart as my widgets (& it doesn't show me Dilbert comics lol!)

Also, if you use the Opera web browser, in stead of Internet Explorer, you can load zillions of free widgets straight into the web-browser. Saves having to minimise the browser to go find or play something.Eg. I play hangman whilst waiting for slow sites to load.
