Why do you not want them to do credit checks?

Any that do with charge a small fortune, due to the higher risks they're taking.

Can you borrow off your parents instead?

... try other ways still of getting the money if you possibly can. Myself and thousands of others can vouch for this not being a good route to take.

Payday loan is a real bad idea, because they usually charge high interest rate.

I wouldn't really recommend applying for one unless it is an extreme emergency where you have exhausted all possible options.

I think it will be best to look for other possible solution.

No experience of these loans, but would echo other comments that I understand they are very much to be avoided - especially seeing the typical APR of over 2000% that they show on tv.

That being said I understand that sometimes there are no other choices, so may be worth looking on quidco/topcashback. Quidco for example give £30 cashback for payday express (I think) so may help pay the interest on the debt.

My first reaction is DON'T DO IT

But if you do................. I got a £80 loan last month from paydayuk, via quidco. They didnt do a credit check and I got £50 cashback (they offered £40 but they gave an extra £10 for some reason).

I only did the loan to earn the cashback. Please be 100% sure you can pay back the loan asap if you do take one. These forums are FULL of people going through hell becuase of the high interest rate. If you do get a payday loan go through Quidco to get the £50.

I have used wonga and payday UK not sure itf they run credit checks, however I am on payment plans with 3 of my creditors and was accepted no problem, I know payday loans are best avoided but the occassions I have borrowed was short term for just over a week to cover direct debits which if I had of not borrowed the money would have been charged more by the bank for covering the direct debit and going over my overdraft than the interest on the loans, so the pros deffo outweighed the cons :) hope this makes sense

    Hi,

I speak from experience when I say 'don't do it'.

However, I know sometimes you have no option... Speak to your family first. Or do you have anything you don't want anymore that you can sell?

If you do decide to go with anyone then I'd go with PaydayUK.

Keep the amount as low as possible, make sure it's VITAL that you have that amount and don't fall into the trap of thinking "I ONLY NEED £60 but I might as well go for £100..." You still have to pay back that extra £40 which you didn't need anyway... I recommend them as, if it comes to it, they are really good at agreeing a repayment plan over a 3 month period.

So KEEP THE AMOUNT LOW if you do get a payday loan.

    Good luck.

    Thanks to all helpful replies.

Think it's looking doubtful because the account my wages get paid into doesn't have a debit card. I use this account because I have standing order and direct debit facilities and its easier for bills etc. Unfortunately, I have a debit card is with another account but no regular income into it.

I've also noticed that many of these companies put in their very very small print that they may conduct a credit check so perhaps a little misleading to people......

Unfortunately no parents to borrow off and nothing to sell, so, back to the drawing board and a very unhelpful boss who paid my wages late in the first place!!

    Thanks again
