Part time work and the CSA

Hey folks justa quick question from yours truely.

After 2 and a half years of unemployment i have finally landed a part time job that pays me 100 quid a week and is therefore income tax and national insurance exempt :j

Thing is i have 2 kids with and ex partner......will i now show up on the CSA radar and have them contacting me? Or because im tax exempt will i fly under the radar?

You are supposed to inform the CSA of any changes in income. You will "fly under the radar" unless the PWC informs them of the change or you do, but that could end up with you owing arrears which isn't a good situation to be in.

Surely as you are now working, you should be contributing to your children's upbringing. At £100 a week, you would pay £5 a week to the PWC. If a little over £100 a week, it would be slightly more. The CSA website have a calculator on it where you can work out how much you will pay, then can contact the CSA to inform them of the changes.
    August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
    NSD : 2/8

Im going to give you my 2 pennys worth, if I were you I would contact the csa and get it sorted before you start to build up arrears. at a hundred pounds a week it wont be much five pounds rings a bell with me too, but it could be more or less.

Dont let yourself accrue arrears, arrears can be worse than the weekly/monthly payments:).

Either, contact csa or start giving CM to PWC making sure the payments are clearly marked CM from your bank going to her bank, DONT GIVE CASH AS THIS CANNOT BE PROVEN TO EVER HAVE BEEN PAID and if there is a dispute you will have to pay any cash paid to pwc twice.
