1000 Tesco points

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but I had an email from Tesco saying they are giving a 1000 Clubcard points when you join Tesco E-diets. You have to sign up for a minimum of 10 weeks at £2.99 a week. Even so, this still gives you £10 worth of Clubcard deals free. Ideal if you want to lose a bit before Christmas, me thinks.
Also, I would expect you would receive a hatful of clubcard promo vouchers in the post with the bumpf they will send out.

Why they have sent me the email, as my body is obviously at the peak of it's fitness and optimum weight!!

I might be wrong, but isn't 1,000 points worth £10 but £40 in deals or something like that?
EDIT: Just looked it up, yes it's £40 in deals0 -
It's worth £40 in deals.0

1000 Clubcard points is £10, but if you use them anywhere other than Tesco, they are worth £40. The e-diet will cost £29.99, efectively giving you £10 worth of Deals free.Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0

I signed up a couple of months ago, got 1000points almost immediately. I shouldn't have, as I cancelled Tesco Diets almost immediately - it's rubbish.
Ok, I'll substantiate that "rubbish" remark. I was expecting it to say, "right, here's our diet, press add to cart, and the friendly man Tesco man will deliver it Monday morning." Instead, you just get lists, full of difficult to obtain items like 3oz of sirloin steak, 1/2 passion fruit. If you want to save money, there's any number of books in the library full of information like that.::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0
