Hi everyone,
I have a debt of £603 and want to make a full and final offer, any ideas of whats the least amount should I offer on a F&F? This debt was actually ran up by my mother and I knew nothing about it until I accessed my credit file. If anybody can give me any advice I would be most greatful. The debt is with a DCA. I have recieved no correspendence from the bank just the DCA but I have found out its a overdraft, Thanks Rach x

Hi Rach
Do you know when anyone last made a payment to it? If it's getting anywhere near six years I'd leave it alone as it's gonna be statute barred soon.
If it's nowhere near the six-year mark and you want to do a F&F, I'd probably start at 25% but be prepared to move up a bit.
Always use the National Debtline letter and don't part with any money until you have a letter from them confirming the deal and are happy with its wording.
