Shower won't turn off!!

It never rains but it pours! My partner and are were planning to celebrate being in our home for one year. Instead we've discovered wood worm downstairs and now my partner has just had a shower and it won't turn off!

We've turned it off at the switch, which is just outside of the bathroom and the water is still flowing. Can anyone give any advice, we're no idea what to do! Bit worried about messing with electrics and water!

Thanks in advance for any help!
Hoping to create a beautiful life for DS and I.

Sounds like an electric shower with a failed solenoid. Turn off the water supply at the isolating valve which should have been fitted and worry about it tomorrow. Valve should be either under the cover which you can remove with the volts off or in the feed pipe in an accessible location.

    Cheers

Thanks for your quick reply. It is an electric shower. We've had a look and unfortunately it doesn't appear to have a valve shut-off.

The shower is running into the bath and is draining away fine, so whilst I feel for the environment it's not a crisis. Luckily i have the morning off work. Was hoping for a lie-in but now I guess I'll be ringing plumbers.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.

Try the room with the boiler or the cylinder jacket. Worse case it will be in the actic or loft!

As electric showers are mains fed it should have one somewhere. If it doesn't then get one fitted or fit one yourself.

Take a look under the bath panel, (assuming it's not tiled) you might find an isolating valve there.
