I'm after bulk cheap poppadoms...

I've just been diagnosed as wheat intolerant as instead of snacking on bread I am on poppadoms. Tesco does eight for £1.22 but I'm wondering if anyone knows anywhere that sells them cheaper? I get through loads as they're really low cal as well. :D I have a friend with a Costco card as well so would be able to get there as well if anyone knows that they do them. Thanks!

I think their stuff tends to be similar across the board. Any idea on quantities/price?
  • Try an Indian supermarket too.

that's the best option as they come in packs of 30+ but you'd need to deep fry them for a few secs, and drain the excess oil on kitchen paper. i think, the last lot i bought would cost about £1.50 or so, no more. i love mine with fine diced onion and mango chutney - mmh! and can eat about 6/8!:D

in the indian grocers, you'll find other types of poppadoms, from plain to ones coated with mustard seeds, or something like that.. if you can't find an indian grocers near you, then i think you're next alt. place would be those intercontinental shops which sells turkish/arabic type of food in there as i've seen asian foodstuffs in them too.
