Hi everyone.
I'm trying to get my money back from barclays - I know they are the worst!
I have just got a letter from my county court giving me the date and time for a 'preliminary hearing'... which is in a few weeks time
Is this the actual hearing that barclays usually pay up just before?
I'm dreading going to court, so if anyone else has done this, please let me know what happens next!
Thanks in advance guys!

Hi Madam Ra - yes, this is where they will 99.9% pay up. Probably at the 11th hour. If they are anything like the Abbey, it will literally be the day before.
Have a look at the CAG website and find out for definite what you need to prepare - just in case.
By them making you think they will go to court is all part of their intimidation process - they want you to back out.0 -
With a court date set, is this something you can just back out of?0

Don't back out for goodness' sake! They win and you lose. The very last thing they want is to get a clear judgement over bank charges otherwise they will be forced to repay EVERYONE they have ever scammed in the past.[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0

Stiff upper lip. Nothing to worry about.
Have taken a number of big companies to court and have been fortunate not to have lost yet. In fact received a nice cheque this morning, £1053.00 for a missold holiday.
Am prepairing case on behalf of one of my daughters against Barclays on three fronts, Curent account, loan account and Credit Card.
Let u know how I get on.0 -
I wasn't advising the person to back out - I have no idea about Courtie stuffs ... I was just enquiring if it were possible to pull out of the court date once it has been set.0
