As this is a vent I will move it to the relevant board, must add my voice to the DD supporters for CC payments, if it gets there late it not your fault. I have always found banks to be amenable to a request for a refund if a genuine mistake has occurred especially if requested in a polite manner.

They had to write of 8K from a credit card, I told them to stick the 34% up their rather large behind.

I have nothing but praise for MBNA and their attitude to disputes. Dolphin bathrooms have botched a bathroom fitting and took the deposit twice* so putting me over my limit and despite promises, failed to refund the resultant penalty. MBNA returned it straight away as soon as this was pointed out to them. Indeed, MBNA have been helpful all through the dispute with Dolphin, even offering help on how to use Section 75 to get our money back from them or Dolphin. MBNA have so far re-claimed the money twice under charge-back, and Dolphin - so far - have only re-claimed it once.

Lloyds TSB however (payment to Dolphin was split between two cards) have just been an obstinate brick wall stating that it's not their problem. We'll see about that...


*It started to go wrong with the deposit and went downhill from there (!).
