Not at all....most OR's (apart from brighton) will leave the cashminder basic account alone....so you should be fine, make sure you list it on your paperwork & make sure theres only enough to cover living expenses in the account..any more they could look further

A s Phil has said, you should be fine, I opened mine 10 weeks before my BR, had all my DD`s, SO`s and incomes going in and coming out of this account, and still up and running nearly 12 months on.

I opened mine a few months before and went br three weeks ago. the lady from or office rang me on afternoon of br and said it was ok to carry on using cashminder account and that she would write to them and let them know.
So far its all worked as normal ie dds etc giong out.I have taken money out for living expences food etc. I only had my normal wages in it any way so no large amounts.

Guys I am crapping it. I am going BR in Brighton on Friday. Am desperate to get it through and open a cashminder as I am going back to uni and need somewhere to put my bursary - do Brighton not allow you to have any account at all???? Or do they just forbid you from having one you already opened?
