Thankyou for your comments. I am looking at trimming off what i can where I can and get a handle on sorting my priorities.
I have just found a FREE app for my phone that I can put in all my spends in, different categories, accounts, shopping list etc. I will set it all up tonight ready for me to use tomorrow. Not stepping out of the house for the rest of today, so no spending. No Take-Away tonight, I'll make supper. OH will think I'm ill !

Hi debtfreegonnabe - from your posts I wonder if your problem is going from one extreme to the other - do set yourself a small amount of 'fun' money and try and stick to that - deprive yourself too much and you can easily give up which may well have been what's happened in the past - you personally don't need to cut back to the absolute bone.
The other tip that might help is to think about how horrid it is being in debt, worry about phone calls, the neighebours knowing, bailiffs, not being able to cope if you lost your job, etc, etc and how great you will feel to have it under control and to be able to save for a holiday/nice car/meal out etc etc.
Good Luck

How much can I save in 2012 challenge
75/1200 :eek:0 -
Thankyou for posting DF, I know my finances are not too bad and are very manageable. Its the prioritizing and money wasting I need to get sorted above cutting back on things. But looking at your finances does make you see all the waste for what it is. Like my milage waste today. Ive have used what could have been two and half day petrol in one day. As a lot of yous advise on here its the little things that get you through the week, without going to the sped bank, that helps the money stay in the bank for the big things.........hope that made sense ?

Hiya the app is "Light Wallet" It appears perfect for me, took a bit of working out but fab once I got the hang of it. Its for my BB don't know if you can do it on PC but I have also found a good free one for PC that being "personal Finance free" you can download the free version direct from there site. Let me know how you get on with either of them, if you decide to try them.

1st Test
OH came in from work with man flu ..!!.. so i popped to the off license for lemonade for a hot toddy before bed. While there I would usually have bought chocolate bars for both of us along with crisps and other snacks for the TV later. I did not get anything else, just the 99p lemonade. So that saved me another £2 at least.......savings today approx £14 and seeing as I only had £10 in my purse, it has also saved me a trip to the speed bank where I would not just have got out what I needed but extra "just in case" just in case what ? .....I want to waste more money. So at least £20 has stayed in the bank to see another day.
This all sounds good but I have a right mess to sort out. I will post as discuss them, as they arise, and attempt to deal with them.

Hi thanks for that I will have a look. Its for the iPad that I want it not the pc. Acebudget isn't wording for me. And I paid for it boo

You're doing well. You will find that before long your mindset will start to shift. Mine has. With regards to treats I've made the mistake before of not getting any in then giving in to chocolate from the local shop when it would have been better to buy a 4 pack wi my shopping. Do u have a farm foods? They are great for chocolate bars and drinks.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j
