Do I really do nothing?

Options
Hi,

I'm a bit confused, I went BR last week and my OR interview is not until Sept 13th. I have just left my old bank account as it is - DDs will be set up and so I guess will continue until the account is frozen - I don't know if it is yet as I haven't touched it.

I have a flat that I rent out and in the brief chat I had with the OR she told me to ask my agent to hold on to the rent for now - i.e. not let it get swallowed up into my old account. I've told her and that's fine. My mortgage payment is set up from the old account too. I will lose the flat as it has around £10k of equity.

And so my question is do I really do nothing now? I've set up my new Co-op account and will get paid there on Friday - I've moved my DD for my mobile phone and car ins and will start my new budget and way of living from this month's salary. Not spending my surplus as it will be needed for my IPA I'm guessing.

I'm not meant to cancel my DDs with old account or anything - will the OR sort all this out?

Just feels weird not doing anything after all the stress and worry of the last few month's!

Thanks
S and S

nothing to stop you transferring all dd's from your old account to the co-op one...then it really is a case of waiting till the receiver interviews

  • Thanks Phil.

There's only credit card ones and the mortgage (and insurances to do with the house) and so I'm guessing I leave all of those?! I don't have bills or anything as live with my parents and will just set up a DD for my board to my parents (as this slipped all the time when I was struggling but now intend to pay every month).

So I think I'm all done until then and trying to not dwell on the interview until nearer the time.
