Posted all forms to CCCS today

Finally got all the bits together to go onto DMP with CCCS - posted off today - does anyone know what happens next? Do CCCS confirm that all up and running?

Have also sent all creditors letter informing them of this - not had any phonecalls/letters from this yet but think can only be a matter of time!!!

Am finding it really odd at the moment as got money in my new bank account and food in the fridge which is something that not happened all year...

Just waiting to see what happens next now

I don't know where to start with mine. I got the pack but can't access it until lunchtime when I get my personal e-mail access at work.
What order are you doing things in? I am going to open an account today but have no money to put in it. Think it's too late to have both my jobs wages put in there (Get paid this Fri and then next Tue).
I have missed 2 payments on HSBC credit card and part time job wages get paid to their Friday, will pay £50 off as I have several others to pay, but worried they will take more!!
I feel like I have a million things to do and I am on the verge of a breakdown I feel. Just don't know where to start!!!! Can you let me know what you done each step as I still feel like I am sinking!!

I sent all my stuff off on Friday to the CCCS.

Its a wierd feeling isnt it going to the bank and seeing a positive balance and not having to worry about paying for the food shopping and petrol this week.

I sent my letters to the creditors about 5 weeks ago (i had some bank account issues which delayed sending stuff off to the cccs) and to be fair i havent had too many phone calls.. Most creditors have sent letters saying they are freezing interest until the cccs contact them and American Express have frozen interest and issued my default all in all it hasnt been so bad so far.

With it being bank holiday this weekend it might delay things with your new bank account unless they will issue you with the sort code/account number when you go into the branch.

    This is what i did...

    1) Opened my new cashminder account
    2) Printed off and posted letters and £1 token payments to all my creditors BUT not to Lloyds and Natwest as i needed to keep my bank accounts with them until my cashminder was fully up and running.
    3) Got together all the paperwork needed for CCCS,bank statements, wage slips, balances etc and new bank account numbers for the direct debit.
    4) Got our new business account up and running and moved all our money into that and some into our new cashminder account.
    5) Changed all the direct debits myself easy to do and quicker than waiting for the Coop to do it.
6)Changed anything that was linked to my old bank accounts like Paypal and Ebay.
    7) Sent off everything to CCCS (that was friday)
    8) Sent off letters to Natwest and LLoyds.

Now its just a matter of waiting for the CCCS to contact me to tell me everything is in order and i can proceed with the DMP and my 1st payment to them should be the 1st Oct.

It is scary to start with but i set aside one evening and went through all my paperwork and got everything into some sort of order.

I have also bought one of those expandable wallet folders and have got one section for CCCS, one for creditors letters and so on.

    Hi makemedebtfreeplease

Just to let you know that once your application for your DMP has been received, it will be checked to make sure that we have all the information required to start your DMP. If there is anything further we need, we will let you know.
If everything is ok, then we will contact you to let you know what happens next.
If you have sent off the notification of DMP to each of your creditors with a token payment of what you can afford until your plan is up and running, then you have done everything you need to for the moment. The creditors do not always reply to your letter, so do not worry if you hear nothing from them.
It is good to hear that you are now getting back in control of your finances and have money in your new account and food in the fridge again!
If you have any further concerns or questions, our client support team will be happy to help.

    Regards
    Sue
