    Apply for the College Support fund, it says you can apply in your first week after you've enrolled.

    tenmah, i don't know. i never heard the tenant come in, but the leak stopped about 10.30pm and it's not returned.

    Thanks Scaredy, I shall look into it.

    I just spoke to my Mom and she said I need to ask my Dad for the money (they are divorced). I hate asking for money, I did ask him once for something (money for a car I think) and he said no.

    You're not alone in that Bun. I desperately try to avoid asking my dad for anything. Last time I fished for a bit of support if there was a gap between the end of my redundancy savings and the start of the Career Development Loan he just told me I shouldn't be running my savings down.

    Taking new bloke Mr Scotland (not his actual title - like Mr Universe :rotfl:) for a meal at my brothers on Saturday. Am aiming for him to meet my father, like never!

    I watched Friends this morning and Monica was planning to ask her Dad for some money, her parents were all freaked out by the losing of her job and her Dad just said oh its ok we know you saved 10% of your wages each month and I thought wow what would it be liketo have ten percent of your wage spare to that with!

    I think with your proactive attitude Buns even tho you don't feel like it you are making progress.
