Retail Eyes reporting

I was considering signing up for Retail Eyes mystery shopping but see that you need either a scanner or fax machine to get the report back to them. I have neither of these.

What do others do? Should I just go out and get one of the for mentioned? It just doesn't seem right spending money when I'm trying to save.

  • I signed up with Retails Eyes - give it a miss. I did a job for them and it took over eight weeks to get paid. They don't have many jobs going either.

The job that I submitted didn't need a scanner or a fax - but if you go ahead then I guess you would probably be OK - most libraries (all the ones in my area) have at least one scanner that you can use if you did need it.

I do most of my jobs with cybershoppers.nop.uk - they work on a PAYE system as well so you don't need to worry about the tax.

I've got a fax so use that method.

I think you can send in the reciepts by post though.
Here I go again on my own....

Hi, I found cybershoppers.nop.co.uk - I assume that's it. Bit of a pain to have to go and do a dummy mystery shop though... I wanted to just be able to log on and get searching!!

  • try freecycle for a scanner, we get quite a few advertised round here or even try for a fax - you never know somebody may have upgraded :)

  • I diagree with the previous posters on Retail eyes, other than the problems on the site at the moment, I've always been paid very promptly and theres often alot of jobs in my area (Kent!).
As far as scanners go, they aren't normally needed since most companies use a receipt number so they can track the receipt anyway. However most libraries have scanners you can use for free, or most places like co-ops and libraries have faxing machines that you can use for 10p or something.

  • I agree with Diminiutive, Retails Eyes have always paid me on time and have been great - loads of chemists at the moment though!!

I dont use a scanner - though i do have a fax at work, try your library!

  • I always report online, then send copies of the receipts through the post, and i still get paid. As for the volume of jobs, it depends what time you log on and how many other people there are in your area.
