I have an account with natwest with a £1500 overdraft, im currently only just overdrawn, would i need to open a new account please if loan is included in dmp, would they be likley to dip into my oiverdraft to recover some of monies owed or take any future payments i recieve into my account? Many thanks in anticipation

    Janieh.

Natwest can do that it is called offsetting... where they take money from one account to pay of a debt in another.

I would open an account which is not linked to any of the RBS group asap and get any moneys paid directly into the new account. I would also get your overdraft facility cancelled/reduced asap. This link will give you some idea of grouped banks..

A lot of people on here suggest the Co-op Cash minder.

Good luck with Payplan. It is a large leap in the right direction.
