Loan with no income?

Hi all, are there any loan companies which will allow me to take out an unsecured loan of 3000 pounds although I am currently not working?

i highly doubt it. most require you to be either working or claiming benefit showing you cant work, eg incapacity.

they want to know how you will pay it back. if you have no income, you cant pay it back....

People who work often struggle to meet the repayments on debt. If you're not working, are you sure you will be able to repay the loan?

I'd strongly encourage you not to get into debt, especially with limited income.

Here's why, my answer still stands, if you have no change of circumstances you will be unlikely to get a loan.

As a general rule you can get credit with repayments of up to 20% of your monthly income. The only exception is student accounts, where students on specifically approved courses can get large interest free overdrafts in the hope of becoming profitable customers in the future. Otherwise if your income is £0 then the most you can hope to borrow is, er, £0.

if you are on income support or jsa and have been cllaiming for 26wks plus you can put in for a social fund loan from dss. this gets paid back at an affordable amount each week directly out of your benefit interest free if that helps
