Guys, I need your help please!

I have £350 together now to file for bankruptcy. (I'm on IS so won't have to pay the extra fee thank God)

What do I need to do now - help!

Go into the court or ring them first? What do I say/ask for?

What paperwork should I be getting together?

I've been putting this off for 2 weeks now but I am going to start getting my backside into gear tomorrow (plus I'm sick of the bank ringing me 4 times a day  )

Any advice or what do's/don'ts would be appreciated ta muchly:o

  • You need to nip along to your county court and ask for the bankruptcy papers, (or print here http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/) fill em in, if you need help filling them in you can go to your CAB for help, once filled in you just return them to your court with the fee and your Ex160, then depending on your court you will be seen by the Judge or booked in for an appointment. :D

Thanks for that - I'll pop to get them tomorrow then :) (Can't print them out, have no ink!)

    What's an Ex160?

It's the court form you are going to need to be exempt from the £160 hearing fees. ask for one when you go to the court too, you can have a look at it here - http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/HMCSCourtFinder/GetForm.do?court_forms_id=168

    Good luck :)
