Hi, sorry to jump on your thread, but i am currently setting up a dmp with cccs, got first lot of papers through yesterday but just waiting for 2 statements from loans to come through before i can send them back.
I am also in the process of setting up a step account with Natwest as i have a loan and overdraft with my bank, i am so stressed over it all but reading advice on here is getting me through.
I am worried about how i transfer my money to new bank due to dds and living in my overdraft i just dont know how it is all going to work out, I have a friend who is with cccs and she tells me its the best thing she has done, im just worried about it all.:eek::eek:
Sorry for jumping on your thread but could identify with you.

Hi Lisa,
I am going to take all my money out, work out how much I need to keep in for essential DD's. I am in the process of ringing them all and the ones that come out later I have said I will pay over the phone once my card has come through and also in the same phone call set up new DD.
I will draw the money out so it takes it to my OD limit as this has been accounted for in my DMP. Scary as I am worried someone will take it and leave me with nothing for the month!!!
It does sound like SOOOOOO much to do doesn't it. Small steps I am finding helpful. xx0 -
Thanks Lyndsey, think i will do the same.
It is very scary and just wish i could sleep at night, hopefully when this dmp gets sorted we will feel better.
Im all for taking small steps, i think thats the only way to get through this, its just the not telling friends and family as i feel so ashamed, this is the first time i have spoken openly about it, apart from one friend who recommended cccs in the first place. xx0 -
I know the feeling!
A question for those who know - when I get paid Tuesday I will need to withdraw over £800 from my account. Feel a bit strange getting that over the counter, like they know what I am doing or something! LOL! Is this the best way to get it all out, or I could go withdraw my maximum amount over x amount of days???0 -
Can you do an electronic transfer to your new account? It would be easier than carrying cash around.
I know my account has a maximum daily withdrawl rate at the ATM (but I'm not sure if this applies over the counter). Can you phone them and check to save any concern on Tuesday?0 -
Yeah I could do - good idea! Think it takes a couple of days but I have nothing linked to my main account as A&L credit card got taken over by MBNA a while back for some reason.0
