Hi
I moved house 6 months ago, when I moved I was in arrears with British Gas, I gave them my final read and forwarding address, I received a final bill for the Electric which I paid but I never received one for the Gas, then a few weeks back I started getting letter from a company called Advantis Credit demanding payment on behalf of British Gas, I wrote them a letter making an offer, which they never replied to and now I have a letter/Notice from them, saying I need to contact hem urgently as the debt remains unpaid, should it be necessary to issue legal proceedings, additional costs will be added to the balance outstanding
Outstanding Balance £545.91
Interest £5.40
Court Fees £80.00
Solicitor Costs £80.00
New Balance £711.31
Now my main problem is I do not wish to contact them by phone, my previous letter went without a responce and also because I can only offer them £10 a month till February when some of my other debts will be paid off and I will be able to increase my offer to at least £50 a month.
If I write a letter offering £10 a month are they likely to accept it?
