Motorised Satellite System with Technomate 1500CI+ reciever

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a motorised satellite system for my house at the cheapest price possible.
I particularly want the Technomate 1500 CI+ reciever and am looking for a dish between 80CM-100CM.

If you can help, please let me know.

If you want cheap, then buy one of the 80cm dishes (£15) and an LNB which are periodically available from Lidl (£5), though you may have to wait for them to get them in.

Get a pole mount diseqc motor from eBay (cheapest about £35 plus shipping).

For the Technomate receiver, probably eBay again for the cheapest source.

An 80cm dish is enough for most of the important European sats, you can always upgrade later. The rest of the bits and pieces are readily available - cable, connectors, etc.

Then do plenty of reading up on how to install and align it all, as a motorised system can be tricky!;)

It might be worth having a look in Lidl, they had the dishes on sale a month ago and they might have some left (Lidl in Heywood, Greater Manchester, had some a week ago)

That is defenetely a good buy, you can get them from ebay quite cheap, I have had one of these for a year and still going strong...touch wood!
