Treadmill

I am in the market for a treadmill and, given my past experience with some flimsy keep fat equipment I want something that is quite robust. I have a budget of about £700-800 so does anybody have any good suggestions.
I have been looking at a couple of York treadmills .. any other brands or suppliers that people can recommend
Thanks
Ivan

Have you tried a treadmill for any period of time - say 45 mins plus?.Very boring.Buy a good pair of trainers and an Ipod and go for a run.At least the scenery changes. You get a bit wet when it rains, but you are going to have a shower anyway.0

Having met you I know how enormously fat you are and you need every possible way of exercise available to you! :j :j :j :j
However, I agree with this:suffolkb wrote:Have you tried a treadmill for any period of time - say 45 mins plus?.Very boring.Buy a good pair of trainers and an Ipod and go for a run.At least the scenery changes. You get a bit wet when it rains, but you are going to have a shower anyway.
Surely if you have that amount of money to spend on keeping fit there is something more pleasant you could spend it on, joining a club or snowboard or taking up orienteering or high jump?
Or try some of these:

you could always try freecycle - some people sometimes buy excercise equipment and then dont use it and then it just collects dust ( OMG Im talking about me:p ) I sometimes see excercise bikes advertised on freecycle.

There seems to be some decent stuff on EBay too.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
:rotfl: I prefer the phrase 'horizontally unimpeded' ... however its not for me, it is for DW who can only get pain relief from her back when she is walking .. threfore if it is pouring with rain she does not want to go out ... I already have the stereo, TV (inc Sky) and DVD player in the room so it shouldn't be too boring .. besides that I can put a few pinups of me in one of my selection of crocheted g-strings on the walls if she doesn't like the viewFran wrote:Having met you I know how enormously fat you are and you need every possible way of exercise available to you! :j :j :j :j

Argos have just reduced the price of the Roger Black one to about £450. You can pick the same up from eBay for less.
Get one with at least 1.5 Continuous HP motor to ensure its powerful enough.
Get the £450 one and you can spend the other £250 on a small LCD TV to put in front of it! Stops the boredom then! I find that I stop too quickly cos I get bored but if I'm watching TV, I don't notice so carry on.0
