Free Blackberries

I am would like to pick-up blackberries for making jams and wondering someone knows what areas I should go.
I live in Shepherd's Bush.

There is also, free Crab apples, elderberries, mushrooms.

I wouldn't trust the mushrooms in Shepherdsbush - likely to be magic ones!!!

Any open spaces with some overgrown areas may have blackberries. Surprising really where you will find them if you look.

Try walking along the canal you usually find blackberries in abundance along there... you can get to it from Scrubs lane pass the car park and railway bridge then comes the canal access, come to think of it you'll probably find some on the Scrubs itself...
Don't pick anything low down just in case .........

Caution when picking and consuming wild berries -

1. be sure the berry is safe to eat

2. your picking hands and the fruit may have rats' urine on them - this is obviously usually just a small risk but one that can be major if unlucky and it was a sickly rat
