Now A Mrs Pics attached!!

:j Hi guys, Just a big thank you to all the information given on this thread that has been invaluable to me. I haven't posted an awful lot myself but have read lots from you guys. I always loved looking at the wedding photos so i thought i would put a few up myself.
We had a fantastic day It didn't stop raining once but that didn't matter as we were in the venue all day. On the panoramic pic you can just about see the black and white roses going around the pillars which were a last minute decor from my mum which finished the room off beautifully. It was Brill :-)

Lovely photos - congratulations, you look lovely. I love your dress and it's really bold to go with the black flowers and feathers - very dramatic against the red!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

thanks, i have to say i hadn't even taken any notice of the red at all until you just mentioned it. I'd just decided i wanted Black n ivory.

Ps i started practising making cakes only last year so that i could make my own as i didn't want to pay £100's. Not sure exactly, but this cost me less than £30.

  • The groom is a standard one but i couldn't find a ginger bride anywhere so i got someone on internet to make me one. Was about £15 but she asked colour of roses, dress and flowers and made to order. I was very pleased with it

Lovely pics, are they your children? The little girl looks so cute in her dress and tiara. I love your dress too. Congratulations to you both
  • Yes they are my kids.

And I learnt how to do the cake from books and the internet. The best thing to do is practice baking cakes, buy a icing smoother even a cake dummy and practice icing cakes. I've made a couple of cakes for people now, someone even paid me :-). They're a lot easier than you think, just time consuming. I'd say definately have a go and see if it's for you.
Here are others i have made which were done for friends but practices for me:

i cant because im sooo superstitious and read that if you made your own cake it leads to a marriage of hard labour:o..lol
