Minx/ Trendy Wrap Nails??

Hello
Has anyone had any on these done on here finger nails? I want them on my fingers not toes.
I have heared mixed reports some saying they can last for upto 5 weeks and some saying only 1 week. I was informed to also ask for gel along the nail tips to stop peeling that way they will last longer does anyone know if this is the case?

Thank you.

According to the girl who does my nails they advise approx 1-2 weeks. She said it may last longer as I have acrylic nails and they don’t “flex” as much as natural nails, but that it’ll wear off around the edges like normal polish does over time.

I doubt it’ll last five weeks as you’ll have a massive amount of growth in that time, and you’ll end up with a natural nail strip at the bottom of the nail.

Was tempted for my toes as she had hers in a really funky pink/purple leopard print.

Hi, I'm a minx nail technician and I don't recommend getting them done on your fingernails. They can last up to 6 weeks on your toe nails however they can last as little as 1 day on your fingers.

Heat from hairdryers, warm water etc will cause them to soften and 'lift' off which isn't good. They are lovely for one off occasions but they wont last for more than a few days.

If you do opt for them on your finger nails then watch how the technician smooths the transfer onto the nail plate. Then every time you have your nails in warm water or use a hairdryer just do the same smoothing action to 'reattach' the end at the free edge. Keep doing this and they may last longer.

  • Many thanks for your responces.

It was my nails I wanted it on not toes, I used to have gel nails but stopped as it was damaging my nails.
I am going on holiday in a few weeks and wanted my nails nice and not to chip. Do you think if I had gel just put onto my own nails this would be better than the minx? Would this damage my nails?

    Thanks.
