Oh lordy. Getting my knickers in a twist. I've had to resign from my job due to ill health. I only worked part time, we have enough money to live on with out me working but the extra came in handy for overpayments. I am looking for something else but nothing is forthcoming at the moment.
DH has put £72 on to a cc that he thought was 0%. It is only 0% on BT, not new purchases. The fact he had to use a cc again makes me stressed, let alone the fact it is 16.9% on purchases. Its not the end of the world but in the last few days my lovely neat spreadsheets have all gone to pot...back to the drawing board I suppose.
It has been a rubbish week all round, my Mum would usually say at times like these 'at least you have your health'...but even that isn't appropriate this time so I suppose I could say 'The only way is up' (baaaby for you and me nooooow, the only way is......up!).
Onwards and upwards, anyone care to join me in a 'having a bad week but going to smile and pray that next week I win the lotto' type of dance?

what is it with husbands, sorry all the men out there
I went to get my last tenner out of the bank this morning (part of budget) when I got the receipt there was 2 x 10 withdrawls  DH has been working quite away from home this week and took it upon himself to 'buy lunch' not just a sandwich but full blown lunch  I wouldn't mind but he's been taking packed lunches with him. I am going to put the tenner back in and take away DH's privelidges
until he learns to be 'good'
I know how you feel on the giving up work,I gave up a few months back due to my failing health, but I can honestly say it was the best thing I ever done, less stressed, house tidy and most of all we are better off :j because ALL food is from scratch,I have time to go to the farm shops and I also don't feel the need to go out to relax,I am the happiest I have ever been,so 'things can only get better, can only get better!'Debt at highest £102k

Bad week here too, yesterday had to go to Sheffield (over 20 miles away) 'cause my DD had an appointment at the Dental Hosp there. DD wanted Mum to go too so DH drove us. Appointment went ok so as I don't get out much DH decided as we have some M & S vouchers we'd go into Sheffield for a coffee (already ate the packet lunch we'd taken) and guess what??? even though we displayed my Blue Badge we got a parking fine, £30  Apparently it was a loading/unloading area and we didn't see the sign and no other cars parked there with blude badges had tickets when we parked. So now not only am I ill, depressed and stressed (more than usual 'cause I have a Medical for IB next week) we are now £30 short this month. Don't want to rain on your parade but as for the only way is up in my experiance the only way is further down for us.Panda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0 -
Hi
I sympathise with you, I had to use my cc this week for the first time in almost 12 months. It was £80.49 which with a bit of cutting back I should pay off in full next month. Doesn't stop me wanting to kick myself though.
Hope you feel better soon ... chin up !!0 -
im with you treasure.
I suspect the rest of the weeks going to be pretty carp.
NBot sleeping well, financailly goosed ( well not as bad as I used to be not as good as I want to be) no sign of employment on the horizon and general feeling of blueergh.
I dont play the lottery any more :A but i do do on line comps and I am praying something anything comes through the door
PLus its 5p listings day today, so i might finally get off my butt and list this ever encroaching pile of "stuff" If I can work out how to use this blasted camera :wall::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
