HFO CCA request - out of time?

Hi Everyone
I've been contacted by HFO for a Barclaycard debt, and sent them a CCA request letter.
They've replied saying that my request has been forwarded to Barclaycard and it may take between 1-3 months before they receive it and forward it to me for my perusal.
Are they allowed to take that long???
Also I moved three years ago, and informed all my creditors of my change of address, but this one seems to have fallen through the cracks, as it was being passed from one DCA to another. HFO have tracked me down at my new address anyway, and have sent through a copy of my credit report. It shows the debt owing to Barclaycard as £3,439. However HFO are claiming that I owe them £4808.73!
They said that they have been sending me letters to my old address, and I assume that they’re claiming that I owe them the extra in charges for each letter that they sent to my old address, which I never received and to which I therefore didn’t therefore respond.
Can they do that? Do I owe them the extra money? What do I say to them to get it reduced back to the amount that I actually owe?
Thanks in advance!

Nope.
12 days + 2.
Just ignore it and send the follow up letter when that time period has passed

Hi Scarlett,
They are chancers, just tell them to get lost and do what ddavis has advised. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Thanks guys.
What about the extra charges? I don't think they're in line with my original agreement!0 -
If they havent got the CCA I expect you wont be paying them so the extra charges wont matter. If they do find the CCA at a later date and its enforceable then you will need to pay the debt.
FYI I have just sent the final 'Im not playing' letter to Credit Solutions re a Barclaycard debt....they couldnt find mine either - they just sent terms & conditions. HTH
