New DMP - MBNA Problem

Hi, we have just started a DMP with CCCS. We got a letter through this morning from MBNA accepting that we have financial problems but they want a higher payment. Same day we got a letter from CCCS stating the same and that the debt would likely be passed to a Debt Collection Agency. A bit nervous now, not sure what to expect from a debt collection agency. Does anyone have any advice from similar situations?
All help greatfully appreciated.

I had a similar problem but MBNA only wanted £3 a month more so agreed to it. They then doubled the repayment a few months later but my position had improved so I can just about afford it. I assume they'll try to increase it again fairly soon and no way can I pay it if they double it again!
Ironically MBNA were the cause of my debt problems and the reason I had to get on a DMP as they went from being a 0% card to trying to charge me 33.9%
Personally I'd try to negotiate rather than have the debt passed to a DCA.:A0 -
My credit card debt with MBNA was passed on to Wescot Credit Services. They accepted the DMP payments I was making through Payplan and they have just accepted my Full and Final Offer at 40% so the account is now closed.
I also have a loan with MBNA and they have accepted payments through my DMP but I cannot get any response from them regarding a F&F. Not even a refusal letter.. hmmm!
Personally I have had better dealings with DCAs (as long as you treat them correctly) than some of the original creditors. Oooo how I wish Lloyds would pass my account to a DCA.
Just remember you can only pay what you can afford to pay. Do not let them bully you into any more.
Hope this helpsadde parvum parvo magnus acervus erit
Add a little to a little and there will be a great heap

Hi there my DMP to MBNA was accepted straight away after about 4 months of trying to get them to accept the same amount doing the leg work myself so maybe they are steering you along for now got my default with them just after they accepted my plan so they may still pass me on to a DCA but I wont pay them anymore than my offer at present so as said dont let them bully you lots of posters agree most of it is hot air0
