I invested in an Aldi Gyro Ball today. Obviously a budget version at £4.99 and, at first attempt, I was not totally overwhelmed but may stick it out for a bit. Has anyone much experience of these?

The Gyro Ball is supplied with a sheet of instructions but it's the only exercise apparatus which I have purchased is not provided with warm up and cool down exercises - perhaps there's none needed. On the other hand I suppose users need to perform some stretching exercises0

My brother has one of these but a more expensive version Powerball, I had a bit play with it last time I was at home but I couldn't get the hang of it.
They are meant to be really good for building up shoulder muscles and wrists, my brother loves his and uses it at least 5 minutes a day.
For £4.99 you really can't go wrong though, I hope you get the hang of yours.

I have a Powerball. Think mine cost about £15 from Amazon. It does take a while to get the hang of it so you need to persevere. I was close to throwing mine in the bin at first. Once you get the hang of it, it's a doddle. I don't know about building up muscles, but it's worked wonders for my wrist pain. Don't need to wear my wrist support much anymore, don't need painkillers. The Aldi one, for £4.99, has to be worth a try.0

Oh err... it seemed sort of easy for the shoe lace to lose one of its ends when trying to use the gyro ball - not sure if I'll keep this much longer. Do all power balls use a little shoe lace?0

I bought a gyro ball from Aldi last week. Had never used one before and it took me a couple of days to get the hang of it. Now I am hooked and would recommend anyone to get one and persevere.
The meagre set of instructions does not suggest what the maximum revs should be (other brands of gyro/powerball are rated at 9,000 to 15,000)-I can't get it above 9,368, what have other users experienced?
Re the starting lace: both plastic ends came off mine so I dipped each end in superglue and left them to go solid - sorted!0
