Help with bank charges

Just worked out that if i claim the bank charges back from one of my creditors i will be £200 in credit. the thing is im in a debt management program and they have stopped me having access to the account.

my main question is will i be able to actually withdraw this money to help pay off other debts, persuming that they refund the money to me

Thanks

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!
  • Hi i have been told from the consumer action board that will will usually take it off money owing unless you put a request in to the court????? for a cheque but bearing in mind you owe this creitor i imagine that it will be used to lower this debt

are you saying that once you claim back your charges your account with this creditor will no longer be in debt but in credit?
if so then you will be entitled to the balance

its halifax. i hate co op, they wouldnt give me a basic bank account today. there are lots of others i might try that are on my dmp so not quite sure if they could pull out of the dmp if i start asking for charges back, anyone know if this is the case??
  • well i am i wasnt going to but the way i see it is the refunds i get will only be going towards what i owe them anyway! try alliance and leicester for a basic account
