Christians Against Poverty - feedback

We had our first visit from the Debt Adviser from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) today. It was for 2 hours and actually lasted 3, he was very friendly, very thorough taking all our details down, and we were very impressed with how he talked us through everything. We will see him again in 2 weeks when he will come back and tell us our options based on our circumstances.
We have a long way to go yet, but feel like at last we have actually started on the road to getting things moving in the right direction instead of sticking our heads in the sand.
I would definitely recommend them, based on what happened today, and thought I'd post here to let people know.

Hi Cheeselady.
I'm so pleased that your meeting went well. There are many on here who have good things to say about CAP, and its always good to hear even more positive feedback, both about your own personal situation and about the charities themselves.
As you say, you do have a long way to go yet, but there's nothing better than feeling in control by facing the sitution and tackling it head on!.
Good luck with it all.

Hi Cheeselady,
I'm glad your meeting went well and you've taken the first steps to becoming debt free. There is a long way to go, but it'll feel great when you finally pay everything off.
Good luck and keep your chin upIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Thanks both of you. We chose CAP because I have hearing problems and they come out to the home, which means I can get involved without having the problem of not being able to use the 'phone, and it worked out really well. We just have to wait now and see what they come up with and hope the options aren't too scary! :eek:0
