How small would you go re Housing

We have had the same small three-bed terrace house since 1976 (Council Tax Band A). When we are doing our stint in the UK there are five adults living in it. We all have to demarque our space quite strictly!
Our Spanish house has three/four bedrooms, just for the two of us, but we use two of them as my office and my husband's studio. We didn't actually buy it for the amount of bedrooms,we bought it because it was the right place and within our budget.
I could live in quite a small place, but my husband finds it difficult, he has too many 'treasures'.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Hermia, I saw your comment about lack of kitchen side space. Have you thought about a tv dinner table? They fold flat, but have a reasonable amount of space and obviously it could be used for dinner/crafts/writing etc when not being used in the kitchen. I know they sell them in Dunelm Mills and Argos.0

Also you can get a little table that afix to the wall & fold down when not in use. If you have a little spare wall space.
There's also loads of instructions on the web to make your own, this is just one example

We are in a small 2 bed house which we both love but it has serious storage issues and not through clutter although we do have some
If we could address the storage issues or pick our house up and put it in a slightly nicer area then we would never move. If we did move it would probably be to a 3-bed with more space downstairs but it would be for necessity rather than luxury. As I said we do love our house, the garden is amazing, it is perfectly placed for transport links it just doesn't have enough storage. MFW 2026 No. 7 £1614.62/£5000

Me and the hubby live in a wee 1bed cottage and it is the cutest thing ever with a log fire ti snuggle in front of in the winter. We have a small garden but it's concrete-we rent btw.
We are looking for a bigger house but simply because..
1. The doors are not wide enough for my wheelchair.
2.even in they were wide enough I can;t fit into bathroom and can fit into kitchen but cant'e turn riund
3, we hope to have little mcmillan's soon so would need space for that.
My husband grew up on a farm so they had a huge house and well the land was massive for the dogs and the sheep and all other sheepy related things heehee. He really misses the place but not for the size of the house but the land and endless fun growing up as a child and a teenager.
xxxExcuse my lack of punctuation I have no shift key.
My meds make me a bit loopy so sometimes I say things that make no sense or can't think of words0 -
My daughter lives in a one bedroom home with a small garden which seems to me to be something a'kin to perfection for a single individual. Upstairs is the bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Downstairs is the living room and what we would have called a kitchenette. Friends of ours have a small bungalow with communal garden which suits them well. We have spoken about downsizing but are daunted by the move itself since my wife is not well at present, in addition to leaving our grown up children's family home.0

If I could have two bedrooms, somewhere to cook, shower room and level access to a garden of my own, I'd be ecstatic. I'd be happy with a prefab/caravan/converted railway carriage, as long as there was good heating/insulation, a power shower and somewhere to plug in the laptop/bass guitar.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
