Hi all,
I know I am a bit premature as we haven't even bought the house yet
but I have been reading on here to get some inspiration for when we do have a mortgage to pay off.
My OH and I talk about how great it will be to be MF- but neither of us really know what we're going to do afterwards!
So, sorry to be nosy, but what are all your plans for your MF life? Retirement? Moving? Change of career? Something else?
What drives you to your MF goal?

Saving for an early retirement!

Choices.
Debt free and a roof over you head, reduces the future income requirements.
Problem is it does not eliminate income requirements completely.0 -
Moving into the country would be nice, don't need a bigger house but a better designed house would be lovely!Mortgage Balance at start July 2010 - £170,000.00
Current Balance - £169,305.15 :j
Savings toward overpaying - £269.98 :T
Weight to lose by 6th Nov 2010 - 12lb
Weight lost - -3lb:mad:0 -
I'm with getmore4less. Choices.
Choosing to go to work rather than having to (ok, would still need to work but could go for more local but lesser paid). Choosing how I spend my money (though I acknowledge I am very fortunate in that I am currently choosing to massively OP). Choosing to save lots and retire early. Choosing to retire to Spain & sit on my terrace reading a book for the rest of my life
Bring it on :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

I currently pay as much as possible on my mortgage just in case something happens to my job and if it did my mortgage would be small enough not to really worry about.I'm with getmore4less. Choices.

Ok, so yours is the sensible version of my plan - and what I am also planning for, but because it's not so sexy it doesn't inspire me so I concentrate on the long game
