Hi everyone, does anyone have any information on how to deal with Debt Recovery Agents??
I owe a small amount to a mobile phone company who have passed it onto to a DRA but at the moment I can't afford to pay it. Iv'e heard of people offering silly amounts such as £1 per week and getting away with this, is this possible?
Thank you for any information : )

Im not sure how true this is but i owe money to the local housing authority and in my experiance as long as you offer and pay a token payment until your financial situ changes then it should be ok currently i owe 1,200 to my own housing assosiation and all i can afford at the moment is £3.75 a week! and they are fine with that as long as i make regular payments!
HTH im sure others will be along with more advice!

You can always make an offer of payment by instalments - it is up to the creditor/dca as to whether they accept or not.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
