Buyagift massages - opinions

Buyagift offer a lot of 'pampering' services and not so long ago I bought a friend a full body massage, pedicure and manicure.
You only find out the locations available for these services once you have paid for the products, and we were surprised to find that the one we selected turned out to be a flat in a seedy block. The fact that the beauty therapist was a member of the beauty guild blinded us to this possiblity, and though she was very nice, her flat stank of smoke and her partner was drunk. When we arrived, he was told to leave but he returned before the end of the session and I found it unprofessional to say the least.
Surely Buyagift should offer these services at beauty centres and not private residences?

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

I know my girlfriend booked with Red Letter Days a while back and she ended up in a prim and proper pamper spa. Sounds like the buy a gift lot need to sort themselves out. Write a complaint. Anyway, Red Letter Days is still going strong despite what happened to them - Doing stock car racing tomorrow!!

  • Really sorry to hear about the unacceptable standard of your experience, certainly not up to the high standard we demand from our suppliers. I am the buyer for Buyagift and we have a specific arrangement with the Beauty Guild to exclude home based therapists from our offer. If you want to contact me directly, I'll happily arrange another experience at a convenient Health Spa.
