Discharged and Mortgage Rescued Good News

I had some great news yesterday, we found out our mortgage rescue scheme application would finally be allowed to complete after a long 11 month battle and to top that we were automatically discharged from Bankruptcy :j:j:D:D

I would like to thank this forum and the wonderful people who post with help and advice for everything. You have all kept me 'sane' in what has been an emotionally turbulent and stressful year. I have made some fantastic friends whom I cherish and have propped me up, when all I wanted to do was fall down.

I am never going to feel pleased or happy we went BR, I never experienced any huge sense of relief, just sadness and shame. Like many others we had no choice in the matter, it was the only option left to us and we were brought to it by a big change of circumstances. But I do not regret it now. It was the right solution for our situation and we have got through it. I never thought we would, this time last year, I thought our lives would never recover, but slowly they are and we keep battling on.

The mortgage rescue has run alongside the BR virtually the whole way through and my other thread maps my journey with it, so I wont go into detail here!! :o But just to say, the news yesterday that we will not be repossessed and evicted and can stay in the home we have lived in for the past 9 years (albeit as tenants) was wonderful and worth the fight. :D:D

Well its all still sinking in and I cant stop smiling for once, but for anyone taking the first steps, especially with mortgage rescue, just go for it, rely only on yourself, never give up, explore all avenues open to you and when one door shuts in your face, find another. Be persisitent, pursue the authorities and dont take no for an answer. When you have moments when you want to get up and walk away from it all, remember what you are fighting for and stay there and you will succeed.

Thanks for listening :A
