Satellite tv on your PC

Hi,
I followed a link to the website below claiming over 3000 satellite channels for a low one off fee. Has anyone bought this software? do you get any UK channels worth paying for or would I need to learn some foreign languages first. What speed connection do you think would be needed to be able to watch with out getting annoyed by the picture/sound quality.
Compared to the monthly fee payable to sky it sounds to good to be true.

  • Ive not ever used that particular site before but i have bought the information on getting satellite TV through your internet off ebay before. I didnt find any that were of particular interest. A lot were foriegn or small stations set up by small companies in the US, ie there was some skate board company that had its own tv site with clips of people skate boarding and playing skate boarding tunes. There was some music stations but they all seemed to foriegn too. I personally found them to not be of much interest. Its all ones that ar eout there for free if you know about them but i think there's a reason most people dont know about them to be honest as they're rubbish.

however as i said that wasnt from that particular site but id be willing to bet at least a good chunk of them on that site are similar stations to the ones i was sold info on.

also worth noting is if you do want to watch extra channels on your PC the BBC does put quite a bit of its satellite stuff on the net i think. They will show episodes of their new comedie that air on things like bbc 3 on the bbc 3 web site and a lot of the sport the bbc show is shown on the net too. whether they show sports stuff you dont get on terrestial im not sure, but it may be worth going to the bbc website and looking at the differents channels pages to see if their airing stuff over the net too.

i hope this is of some help

Many of these types of offers simply give you a list of websites that stream tv over the net. As others have said these are all free of charge and so it is simply saving you the effort of having to google for them yourself and in some cases the websites contain pirate content and therefore you would be commiting a criminal offence by watching them (as usual ignorance is not considered a defence).

Effectively this is just the latest itteration of the old 9v battery scam that people used to sell people to get free box office/ pay per view content on sky
