bank charges

I've been abit laxed and after sending my first letter stating how much I'd be recharging and giving them 14 days, my personal life got abit hectic and 26 days have lapsed! I didn't send the letter recorded delivery, should I resend the letter recorded delivery or send the 2nd letter! problem being I go away next thursday for 2 weeks of sun, sea and sand! and the 14 day deadline will be when I'm away!

Hi Leni.I don't think it matters if your letter is a little after the 14 days, as long as you leave the full 14 - it's all about making reasonable effort to resolve the issue before court and any delay on your part just makes it look like you tried extra hard IYSWIM. I sent all my letters recorded so I could prove they were received - but the courts send papers 1st class and assume that you have received them after 5 days, so I reckon you'll be ok as long as you send the next letters recorded. On the other hand, it's only 14 days, so it might be worth re-sending for peace of mind! Hope that helps.xxx

I think I will resend it next week, recorded delivery so the period I'm out the country will amount to the 14 days I'll be giving them, so infact I've given them LOADS of time!
