Question relating to employment from QubeGB

  • i have been offered a position with qubegb and was wondering if there are any current field engineers who would be willing to speak to me regarding the company as i am reading quite a lot of negative posts regarding this job and am still in two minds as whether to accept the job or not.
  • It is rather suspicious that the two recent positive posts came from new people who have only the one post to their names.

On the other hand, Qube may have improved since the original posts were made in 2010.

  • Hi,

I just left QubeGB 2 weeks ago and since then I haven`t received any of my outstanding wages nor can I get in contact with them anymore.

Has anyone who left them got their last couple of weeks paid at the end?

Has anyone who got solicitors managed to get their last couple of weeks paid? Did you have to pay for the solicitors at the end - i.e. solicitors may cost more than the outstanding wage if I have to pay for the solicitors fees?

    Thanks for any replies.
  • how long did you work for them ? why did you leave ??
  • I have been offered a job as a self employed engineer for qube I have heard good and bad things is there anyone out there a engineer for them at the moment is it 14hr days do they pay on time etc...

For some balance, I have worked for Qube in the North West since Feb 2012, and I have to say I haven't had any of the problems that have been posted up on this board, I have had plenty of early finishes and some late ones but I haven't done any 14 hour days, I have always found that sometimes you have take the rough with the smooth as far as job and finish goes. As far as pay goes I have never not been paid on time and I have never had my fuel expenses questioned. Yes there are minor communication issues at times but tell me a company that doesn't have them, I have learnt quickly and been put forward for various different types of jobs, so all in all I am very satisfied with the position I have and would reccomend it to anyone wanting to join a young fast growing company, with scope for progression, as I have done to numerous people.
What did really tickle me, was reading this board reminded me of the trip advisor site telling everyone to avoid the hotel I had booked last year like the plague, we came back telling everyone it was one of the best family holidays we had been on. You get out what you put in, and in todays current climate I think Qube should be applauded for their recruitment drive.

Hi, Are you still with qube?

So guys what's the truth about qube????is it a good company to go for or what???

    cheers
  • Hi,

Just a quick update. I managed to contact one of the manager regarding my outstanding salary. He confirmed that the company hold the last payment for 4 weeks in case of any outstanding charge. The 4 weeks gone and I still haven`t received anything.
I should have read this forum before I joined this company. I think I will never receive my money I have been worked for, unfortunately a solicitor would cost more..
For those who are willing to join read other comments they are TRUE! You have long working days, long driving, they don`t care about you too much, only the work to be done. I had screen replacement what the insurance did not cover so it was out of my pocket. At the end of the day you find yourself working 6 days a week for a minimal wage.
If you are happy with all of these then go ahead otherwise I would stay away from this company.

    Good luck all of you!

Why do you think you need a Solicitor? Make a small claim online - Unless there's something that you aren't telling us, I'm 99% sure they will pay you before it comes to court, including the small fee that you pay to file a claim. In the unlikely event that it goes to court, then trust me the judge is on your side and realises that you are not a solicitor. You can also claim £22ph for any time you spend preparing for your case as well as any other costs you incur.

Do not back down to dodgy companies like this. The two obviously fake posts above, praising the company are all you need to know about this shady outfit.

I'm skint and need a job, but I'm not falling for the scam that these lot are running. I don't know how the people who run these companies can sleep at night.
