Evening,

Tomorrow I am having my first haircut in nearly 5 months.

I have had a layered bob of various lengths for as long as i can remember and i am REALLY bored of it.

At the mo it has longer layers which is slightly longer at the front just below the about 2cm off my shoulders, and a bit shorter at the back. I have just about grown my fringe to where i can get it behind my ears after having a really bad cut around two years ago.

Face shape: Fat - slight double chin
Hair Colour: Boring brown but is rather shiny
Hair Type: Fine but lots of it, have a dodgy crown area which always needs a bit of back combing or I look as if I am going bald (thanks Dad!)

It does hold its shape rather well, but has got to the stage where it is starting to flick out and to be honest needs a darn good cut to get rid of wispy ends etc.

I just cant decide if to go shorter, or try and get it a bit longer, I seem to have had a bob in some shape or form forever and its doing my head in!!

Any ideas?

YDSM
I wish I would take my own advice!

I'm contemplating having my hair cut off. Its just past my shoulders at the moment and I have a fringe. I'm not sure of what style either!

Have you looked at face shape styles, i have a long face and have to be really careful with my style as it just makes my face look longer...i have my dad to thank for that also :D

You said fat, so i take that to be lovely and round ;)

Heres a few star examples when i googled round shape hairstyles.

Tips for deciding but it all depends on your hair type as well i think.
  • I've been growing out my bob forever. I went to the hairdresser yesterday and Voila!! Its back!!

Why do they never listen to what you say?

This is how the 'consultation' went

Me- 'I'm growing it so just a trim please and some long layers in the back'
Him- 'You know how I see you? With a really cute short bob, short layers and a fringe'
Me- 'No thanks, just what I asked for please, i'm trying to grow it'

I Left the salon an hour later with hair not dissimilar to my dad's.

    RAAAHHH!!

I let him know i wasnt impressed but I didn't want him to 'fix' it any shorter!! lol

Good job I used a groupon voucher and dont take myself too seriously! :rotfl:
It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
