If you requested white fillings then the 2 amalgam ones would need to be paid for. If you are exempt then beyond that you would not have to pay for the NHS filling or check up. So basically you have been told the maximum price would be for 2 private fillings only and the total cost would depend on size of the filling

But whether you're exempt or not depends on what benefits you are on. Not all of them qualify for free dental care.

Hi and thanks, at the time of my diagnosis appointment and treatment arrangement i was in receipt of JSA, i have signed off this as i am going to university in a few weeks time. On my treatment sheet she gave me it says fees exempt, will this mean i am exempt even though i am now not on JSA and going to Uni? I read somewhere that if someone is in receipt of JSA at the time of the appointment and treatment arrangement they are automatically exempt from any NHS fees.
