The Cobra/Appoco Group

Good evening folks, my first post on here but have monitored and viewed the forum for many months now. I have also seen many posts and threads similar to what I am about to go into great detail about. I would also greatly appreciate if any modertaors or senior posters would move this post if its not in the correct part of the site in order to get it maximum exposure.
Anyway, basically, im sure most of you guys will have heard of the Cobra group and the umbrella which operates beneath it. For the past 5 months or so now I have done alot of homework on this company and investigated them in greater detail. Some of the stories are quite incredible to be honest and its due to some of them I am willing to go the extra mile to make something happen about it.
A bit about me first of all. I am a university graduate, Dundee uni. Graduated with a 2:2 in anatomy. I did well enough buit obviously a 2:2 struggles to force its way through most life science CV piles, especially with the job front the way its been in the science sector.
After almost 6 month of joblessness and benefit scrounging enough wa enough, I applied for a job at a company called KTM marketing in Dundee. I initally thought it wa telesales, which as a stop gap would have been adequate enough to get some cash in. But no, it turned out to be door to door selling of charity. Ok, so my communication and inter personal skills are in the good to excellent bracket so I thought I would do well in this- yes even knowing it was 100% commission and 12 hour days. I had no ties, no girlfriend, and not a great deal of extra curricular activities depsite by passion for Celtic Football club, of which I missed a few games due to this job but not that many so all good.. anyway.. im rabbiting on here..
In a nut shell I was immediatley brainwashed. I was shown all the motivaional speeches, magazine.. given the fools gold of becoming an owner. Yeah im ashamed to say I bought it. However, I got very very good, very quick. The owner prayed upon this, bigging me up, asking how much I was making getting me to show people my earnings.
I started to enquire a bit more about the business and this is where it started to scare me. Our office was losing money every day, skint. No recruitment and the owner had not a clue- he had only been promoted because his cousin- first name and shame, ALI MIR, was an owner somewhere else ( who is also skint by the way, or so I'm told but it would make sense).
Anyway, I was headhunted to go to oracle advertising in Manchester the mecca of all brainwashing. My leader, and I along with our peniless owner were told to re-locate to manchester and live the dream. The rest of the office dropped, and out of the remaining 5 or 6 guys 4 I think remain jobless- heartbreaking. These guys were sold a dream and bought it, employed on the off chance they would get a sale and earn the owner the few quid he needed to buy his tesco value shower gel and reduced loaf.
I lasted 1 day at oracle. It broke my heart initally to leave cobra. So much work I had put in to become very good at a job which paid not bad for me 400 a week in my hand, happy days. £400 which was riddled with guilt and shamelessness, using the haiti earchquake to make people donate to the charity and thus earn me my living. All these thoughts soared through my mind as I travelled back home after two days of perpective viewing in the depths of the evil michelle house of manchester. 150 or so primark ladien suits and blouses withered at the ankles and holed matalan shoes with the miles and miles of walking every day , to keep the scum above their heads happy that they had hit their goals. This is not work it was organsied slavery and still is for thousands across the UK.
It was snowy night in the middle of a housing scheme in Preston which made my decision. I was a human not an animal. Trawling the street looking to get into a house for warmth. I passed a tramp and gave him 15 pence, only to realise that he had just made more money than me that day by me doing that. So I ended it. My dad was delighted he paid for my train home even, (result!). He had one his homework and went through the channels to find out what this company is all about, as I have now
So its time to do something about it.. now I have studied alot of literature and stories etc since leaving cobra and before i go any further I have to highlight a few key points
- If you work for cobra and read this and even think about putting a poitive pro-corba reply in- dont bother. The odds of reaching ownership is 4500-1. The odds of being a successful owner ( lasting more than 6 months), is 18000-1. So you and your new best mate Johnny primark suit have 36000-1 odds of both owning your company- good luck guys.
-Secondly the whole population in ( dead end , neggy jobs) think you are scum- which you are and you feed scum above you. And yes I may be a hypocrite, I was scum and maybe still am because I have done the job? who knows i'll let you decide.
- You will never be an owner. You are brainwashed and have no life, end of story, and finally if you do fluke your way to ownership you will be earning 120 a week and will have lost alot of friends along the way.
Now, my next plan of action is some sort of petition.
I must also add that I did indeed pay the correct tax and NI, I made sure I did things by the book. Now that reminds me.. the mythical bond you get, I was due 1400 of which i only recently seen 535 of. Only because I threatened them with revenue and customs. It was promply in my bank within 24 hours.
HMRC will be an option for me too, top get these vermin exposed and get the lives back of the poor lads and girls who have sold out to them.
Who's with me, whos gonna share their thoughts and give me their backing?
R.
