Bouncy castle hire pros and cons

Anyone done this-local business for sale thinking might suit my hubbie who has lots of spare time. Have 2 double garages so storage not a problem, run a business before, what about insurances-are they massive? Does it tend to be very seasonal? Any ideas or help appreciated. Thanks.

There was a thread about this a few months ago.

  • There was an incident a few years back in Bristol where a bouncy castle was hired for an adult event. During the evening a party goer broke his neck which it was said was due to bouncy castle related activity. Devastating for the injured individual. If memory serves me correct it went to court and there was a huge payout (not sure if the payout was appealed against). There have been other cases of children having broken arms/legs etc at birthday parties. Substantial Public Liability insurance is vital. Possibly the British Inflatable Hirers Alliance can advise further.
