I had my hair cut earlier and my hair dresser showed my a technique using powder to absorb the greace from my fridge. My fringe is the only part of my hair that gets greacy if I could learn how to do it it would be brill. Does anyone else do this? Is it just norml talc you use and how it work? It does seam to have made a differene to my fringe. Ive sean dry shampoo before and when I mentioned it to the hiarresser she told em not to waste my money and use this instead. She litrally put some in my fringe roots then balsted it off with the hairdryer
Thanks in advance

I use baby powder works great on my hair. Even the supermarket own brand baby powders. I just sprinkle it on my brush then brush it through my hair, but have to make sure it doesn't get left on my clothes!GC July: £0/£1200

I've used talc but find that Batiste dry shampoo does a better job as it's a lot finer.0

My product of choice for years has been Batiste- very fine, and doesnt leave any obvious colour or dullness on your hair or hair line. If necessary i can use Batiste on 2 or 3 days in a row before a wash is mandatory. (camping trip in rural france, ice cold water!)
In an emergency a fine talc will work- sprinkle very gently, lightly rub in, leave for a moment and then brush out. It does the job, but it can leave chalky appearance/grey tones behind in your hair. I usually find if i have used the talc approach, it looks terrible the next day and has to be washed.
AN alternative to a full talc'ing, if you are happy to tie your hair back, then ponytail it, and then apply talc with a blusher brush or equivalent, and it will take away the worst of the unwanted "shine" without looking as heavy as sprinkling all your hair with talc.

I have very red hair, if I use Baptise it turns pink which I do not appreciate! Despite this, no companies supply dry shampoo for red hair aside from Bumble and Bumble and so this is what I use. It does cost alot though so I tend to use or rarely and for special occasions or if the shower broke or something.
I just blast the roots, its mainly the middle part and crown that gets greasy if it does, I then leave it for about 5 mins and brush through. The idea is the hair oils are soaked up and then brushed away but we all know that most of it sticks around!
The only issue I have is the knots it creates. Yes it does rinse out well but whilst its in, trying to brush through can sometimes be a painful experience whatever dry shampoo I try. I comb through first which can help and the other issue is that my hair is dry and damaged/frizzy. Serums and leave ins help with the frizz but once I've applied a dry shampoo (again it doesn't seem to matter which type) the roots are fine but the rest of it ends up with waaaaayyy to much volume! I just end up with it tied back, thinking at least it smells nice!0
